You should spend a few hours researching the current unit in the potential home you want to buy to make sure it is what you want. Never take for granted that the owner will tell you everything you need to know. Most people don’t know much about these units until one breaks down and even then they hire experts to fix it. You can do a few hours of reading and can discover the efficiency and usefulness of the unit currently installed. You can usually get the owners to lower the price of the home if you discover that this needs replacing.
